2012年より、「都市における表現の発展」をコンセプトに、グラフィティ、ストリートカルチャーに関連・影響がある有志のアーティストによる自主企画展覧会として活動をスタートさせたSIDE CORE。そのSIDE COREが、これまでに展覧会に参加した藤元明、EYE、竹内公太、MADSAKI、松原慈、ニコラ・ビュフ、大山エンリコイサム、松岡亮、菊地良太、西山修平、コムロカタヒロ、小畑多丘、TENGAone、松下徹、yang02という15名のアーティスト・インタビューを中心に、展示会概要、寄稿文を収録したアーカイブ・ブックを刊行する。
このブックでは、今までSIDE COREが領域横断的に歩み続けてきた軌跡を国内外に発信することを目的としており、刊行を記念して、2015年5月1日から6日までの間、原宿にあるBLOCK HOUSEにてエキシビションを開催する。展示する作品はインタビュー作家を中心にスケッチや試作品、小作品などの他に、アーカイブ・ブックの販売、オリジナル Tシャツの販売も行われる。アーカイブ・ブックを読みながら鑑賞することで、アーティストの思考や過程が垣間見える貴重なエキシビションになるだろう。ぜひ足を運んでみよう。

SIDE CORE was started in 2012, by a team of artists (all of whom are related to street art and graffiti), under the unifying concept of "the development of urban expression". We would like to announce that the first SIDE CORE archive, "SIDE CORE : ATYPICAL FOOTPRINT" , is complete and ready for release. The 158 page book focuses on 15 main artists participating in the series of SIDE CORE exhibitions, containing artwork summaries, essays, and interviews with the following artists: Akira Fujimoto, EYE, Kota Takeuchi, MADSAKI, Megumi Matsubara, Nicolas Buffe, Oyama Enrico Isamu Letter, Ryo Matsuoka, Ryota Kikuchi, Syuhei Nishiyama, Takahiro Komuro, Taku Obata, TENGAone, Tohru Matsushita, and yang02. The book is Japanese-English bilingual, with the intent to project SIDE CORE's activities out of Japan. "SIDE CORE : ATYPICAL FOOTPRINT" will be launched in conjunction with an exhibition at BLOCK HOUSE, Harajuku, from May 1 to 7. The book will be available to purchase at the exhibition, alongside original t-shirts and small art pieces by participating artists.
