ついさっき、instagramで僕の作品を「いいね」してくれた人がいた。自転車のロゴマークだったからどんな人だろうって彼らのアカウントを見てみた。そしたら、『花を自転車でデリバリーします』って書いてあった。
会社の名前はPetal & Cycle。
ロンドンの中心地を拠点に、生の花を痛めず届けられる範囲内を、自転車（メッセンジャースタイル&カーゴバイクスタイル）で運ぶ花屋。
コンセプトがシンプルで物凄く気持ちが良い。花を送る文化のある海外ならばとても流行るだろうし、日本からロンドンに住んでいる友人達にウェブで注文すれば花をメッセンジャーが運んでくれるというちょっとしたおまけ付き。しかも一瞬で。実際は、ちゃんと面と向かって花を渡す事ができれば良いけれど、ちょっとしたプレゼントとしてなら面白いんじゃないかなって思った。自転車ビジネスを色んな形態で今まで見てきたけれど、ちょっと新鮮だったんだよね。こういうのっていいと思う。ちょっとロンドンに住んでいる友人家族に花送ってみようかなって思うよね。あ、でもまず友達の勤務時間とか知らなきゃ駄目だな。そのまま会社まで送ってもらおうかねw
Just right now, I got a "like" on my instagram photo from a interesting flower shop called Petal & Cycle. I was a bit surprised the way they deliver a bouquet though. I don't know if they hire a bike messenger, or they have their own staffs delivering a bunch of flowers by fixed gear or cargo bike? I have no idea, but yes, this is the way they deliver a bouquet from B to C customer. I know that there is a food delivery messenger culture in NYC, SF, LA, TOKYO, etc... but I never heard that MESSENGER FLOWER DELIVER SYSTEM on earth. They have a web site and even I can click the button and deliver a beautiful one to my friend's family living in London right away. Yeah, my friend used to be a bike messenger, so he might be really happy about it if I click though. Should I click one? since today is my birthday and I wanna do something happy thing to any friends around the world. Why not huh?
